Course Description

It’s no secret that law enforcement marriages come with their own unique set of challenges and stressors. That’s pretty much unavoidable. But what is avoidable is the devistating toll they can have on family relationships.

In this extremely candid program, Lt. Kelly DeVoll (ret.) and his wife of nearly 30 years, Tia, openly share the lessons they’ve learned–some of them learned the hard way–that has helped them stay together, through thick and thin. Their “it’s not all unicorns and rainbows” approach to discussing the truth about law enforcement marriages is both impressive and important.

Kelly and Tia will:

  • Take a serious look at the reasons law enforcement marriages are different than others.
  • Walk through the stages of their own relationship history–from the rosy to the tumultuous to the strengthened & resilient–and share the lessons they learned in each.
  • Help you recognize the warning signs of a relationship that may be in need of outside assistance and support.
  • Share advice on how to turn the tide if you find your relationship “on the rocks.”
  • Help you regain focus on the things that are most important in any relationship.
  • Help you stay together. For real.

This class is a crash course in contemporary leadership skills and traits. It’s essential to those interested in learning… and great to those currently leading.
